Chiang Dao

Wat Tham Chiang Dao is situated at the foothills of Doi Luang mountain in Chiang Dao. While it has many structures its main two features are an 800 year old pagoda and the cave temple that has an entrance surrounded by a large koi pond. Passageways extend 5 miles/11 kilometers. The main cave serves as the temple’s principal sanctuary and has a life like statue of Luang Pu Sim and a reliquary enshrining his sacred remains. Beyond that you will be led by a hilltribe guide for approximately 1 hour through interesting and often decorated areas.

Could be festivals, weddings, temple functuions, motorcycle tour, parties, nightclubs (unkown by foreigners), hilltribe visits, temple stay, meditation class…etc
